Soul of the city
Tourists, travelers, ocasional people, people from the place, and people from so other many places, … this square is at all moments full of life, and a reflection and symbol of the city that is Madrid. With just walking around, and observing life in this square, to get a hint of the soul of the city.
After all, that’s what’s most beautiful of travelling anywhere: learning and seeing what is unique and different. Especially learning from it, and taking it inside us, in our own soul.
Peace

Each year, around these dates, there is a prayer for Peace in this place where the photograph is taken: the basilica of San Francisco el Grande in Madrid, Spain. This prayer for Peace has included and includes muslims, jewish, evangelics, romanian orthodox, greek orthodox and catholics. The atmosphere is so special and nice, that we all await impatiently these dates to see each others there, united, praying for Peace.
Dulcinea del Toboso
“Dulcinea del Toboso” is the woman with which Don Quijote was in love with. At least in a supposedly mad man’s mind. He always gave her the most noble traits of character and he would challenge anyone who wouldn’t say this woman is the best one in the world.
Sometimes, … madness is not such.

Peaceful evening. Peaceful, specially for old people, having lived their full lives. Peaceful for their minds, for at the and being able to breath calmly. Often forgotten, their wisdom is unrivaled.

City of light / Ciudad de luz
Even in cold, even in winter, there can be warm moments, and full of light, and life. But that’s not something given as much by nature, but by our mind. It’s our mood what determines our reality.

Madrid is sometimes said to be full of people with rushes. Much like any other big city. It’s not so often that people stop to look around, and to notice some nice things that are near us. Fountain in Madrid
Sometimes, decoration for fountains can be surprising. I found this one in Madrid, in Castellana street. I’m not too sure of whether this is a lion or a bear (Madrid symbol is a bear and a tree).
