Madrid fountain / Fuente en Madrid

Sometimes, decoration for fountains can be surprising. I found this one in Madrid, in Castellana street. I’m not too sure of whether this is a lion or a bear (Madrid symbol is a bear and a tree).

A veces la decoración para las fuentes puede ser sorprendente. Encontré ésta en Madrid, en la Castellana. No estoy muy seguro de si esto es un león o un oso (el símbolo de Madrid es un oso y un árbol llamado madroño).

Es en soledad, cuando se fija uno en las cosas más simples. Es en soledad, cuando se disfruta de estas simples cosas. Es entonces, cuando miras a tu propia vida desde un punto de vista más simple. En soledad, y en silencio.

Golden leaves / Hojas doradas

It’s not autumn. Still summer. Leaves fall due to too much heat, being dried. Yet, thanks to wind, they gather together, creating some golden places. And us when we dry? It’s up to us.

No es otoño. Todavía verano. Las hojas caen debido al calor excesivo, quedando secas. Aún, gracias al viento, se juntan creando lugares dorados. ¿Y nosotros, cuando nos secamos? Depende de nosotros.

Without TV / Sin TV

World of communications. Even in some poor countries, and poor homes, normal and parabollic antennas are most important. Can we live without TV? What would it bring to our lives?

Un mundo de comunicaciones. Hasta en algunos países pobres, y hogares pobres, las antenas normales y parabólicas son de lo más importante. ¿Podemos vivir sin TV? ¿Qué nos aportaría a nuestras vidas?

Columns / Columnas

Columns are used to hold heavy loads, yet to decorate. They are something basic in all type of constructions: structure. If it is weak, it will fall down, and if it’s strong it will keep for ages. They make me think of myself.

Las columnas se usan para soportar cargas pesadas, y aún para decorar. Son algo básico en todo tipo de construcción: estructura. Si son débiles, se caerá, y si son fuertes durarán años. Hacen que piense sobre mi mismo.

Light / Luz

Sunflowers, to keep at their maximum, they follow where light and warmth come from. If we would all do this, there wouldn’t be so many wars.

Los girasoles, para mantenerse a su máximo nivel, siguen la dirección de donde les viene la luz y el calor. Si todos hiciéramos lo mismo, no habría tantas guerras.

Beach Blues / Azules de playa

Blue is the hope, and blue are the reminds. Blue is the sky, and blue is the sea. Even blue is the umbrella, and also blue is how I feel. Blue for those moments.

Azul es la esperanza, y azules los recuerdos. Azul es el cielo y azul el mar. Hasta azul es el quitasol, y también azul es como me siento. Azul por esos momentos.

It is important to have some direction to follow. Always. There’s a proverb that says that no wind is good to sail when no direction is to be followed. Which is your direction?

Es importante tener alguna dirección que seguir. Siempre. Hay un proverbio que dice que ningún viento es bueno para navegar, cuando no se sigue ninguna dirección. ¿Cuál es tu dirección?

Simplemente relájate. Imagina que eres tú quien está sentado ahí. Mirando el mar. Sintiendo la brisa. Escuchando las olas que vienen y van.
